The first thing I'm starting with is to update the radio console to bring it into the 21st century.
I'm deleting the factory location for the hazard light switch and moving it to position 1 on the switch panel. The second switch will be for fog lights. The third switch will be for heated seats. And the last slot will actually be for a dual USB outlet with battery voltage readout (see link in description).
All unused holes in the console will be patched (welded patches).
In the old speaker slot, I'm installing a double DIN, 7" android head unit. Speakers will be mounting the speakers.. somewhere. Maybe behind the seats in a console.
This is the prototype switch holder. The MG logo is backlit, but I'm in the process of 3D printing ver A3, where the MG logo sticks out level with the switches. And it will be backlit. I think it will look better being level.
I think the tallest part of the switch is 13mm above the MG logo as seen in the picture. I may, in version A4, built it so the switches are mostly recessed. Maybe 3MM above the MG logo, but the MG logo will be flat with the surface as you see here.

I think I've decided on version 7 as the winner. I will post an image of it as soon as I get happy with the details. One problem I'm having is I've poured the resin for the MG logo a little thick, so have to redo that. Not a big deal, BUT... the 3D printer is clogged (switched from ABS to PLA+ and forgot to change the temps). Oh well..
